Mitchell A. Jacobs
Mr. Jacobs has practiced family law exclusively for thirty years and has been a Board Certified Family Law Specialist since 1986. Mitchell A. Jacobs graduated from the University of New York at New Paltz in 1978, Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He then attended California Western School of Law from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1981. Mr. Jacobs is a past member of the following: Executive Committee of the American Bar Association, Divorce Tax Issues Committee of the Family Law Section and the Taxation Section Member of the Board of Governors of the Beverly Hills Bar Association; Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association; Standing Committee on Support for the State Bar of California; Member of the Family Law Advisory Board for the Continuing Education of the Bar; Executive Committee of the American Bar Association, Taxation Section, Divorce Tax Committee; Board of Directors of Family Service Los Angeles; Board of Directors of Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International; Los Angeles Superior Court, Judge Pro Tem, Adjunct Professor Golden Gate University. For several years, Mr. Jacobs has volunteered and served as Judge Pro Tem of the Beverly Hills Municipal Court. Mr. Jacobs currently volunteers as a Mediator, Los Angeles Superior Court (Family Law); and as an Arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association in fee disputes between clients and their family law attorneys. Mr. Jacobs has been a frequent lecturer and author in the area of Family Law to local, state and national Bar Associations and Accounting Societies. Mr. Jacobs is a regular contributor of articles to the Los Angeles Daily Journal dealing with all aspects of family law.
